Leveling up refills your HP and MP, so immediately after leveling, go scoop up all those hearts you revealed earlier. This is especially important for the second floor, which is when you'll typically hit level 2. You can always pick them up to heal up if you're in danger. Something to contribute: save the hearts until you're at max health, whenever possible. Both weapons take an accuracy penalty though, which makes combat slightly more random. I agree that dual wielding is pretty powerful, especially with +damage effects that aren't from the weapons themselves.

A quick question to the devs (if they're watching this), do wands and staves deal 'elemental damage'? I figure they're probably similar to bows. bows are weaker on their own, but a bow-based build can potentially be stronger) They should probably have +dodge chance versus melee enemies or something.Īlthough, there is the fact that dexterity augments their damage AS WELL AS to hit rate and dodge rate, so squeezing a damage bonus out of dexterity might be worthwhile if you get a bow early enough to go that route (i.e. 243 MP damage per hit.īows are useful as a sidearm if you're dual wielding anyway, you probably have high dex to offset the to hit penalty, so you might as well carry a bow around to deal with weak ranged enemies (strong ranged enemies are what throwing knives are for) or enemies with heavy armor. Regarding number nine, hilariously enough I've gotten one of those guys with the 'attacks MP instead of HP ability'. Those are some survival tips off the top of my head, hope they help ya delve deeper and longer! Leveling priorities = STR always STR, nothing else ever, maybe a point of int to wear a belt (4 is the most youll need) Wands/Bows suck, they need better implimentation in the game, ignore these weapons, sell them. Youll notice the horrid horrid penalty to hit on most 2 handers which will make you miss more often then not. TWO HANDED WEAPONS GENERALLY SUCK - yes they can generate big numbers but dual wielding > everything or main hand with a blue/yellow shield. Life on Kill/Life on mist tile = These skills will keep you going in the dungeon and allow you to live far far longer, stack these.

#Runestone keeper tips mod#
Mana on Kill = Rare mod on stuff that paired with certain skills makes them broken, stack this. Reveal X number of extra tiles = This one is amazing, clear dungeon floors 2-3x as fast.Ĭhain attack on weapons - This hits every monster thats "visible" depending on your chain bonus, also amazing. Clear floors of all the monsters, trying to power dive to get to lower levels will just kill you quick, its not worth it. Kill everything, yes, thats right, everything that moves dies. SELL EVERYTHING, gold persists thru death and unlocks passive perks. Generally - Its not worth buying 200-300gp equipment from a shop. There are certain gold ranged monsters with an attack = to your chars life, THE ONLY WAY to survive is to ankh and kill them or knife them or crystal freeze them immediately, pay attention when ya enter a new floor or a mini dungeon.ġ0.
#Runestone keeper tips full#
Certain items are just plain lifesavers, the hourglass is #1 of these, you can full health swap a newly discovered monster using it, ie - your health is at 2 its health is at 40 you use hourglass you have max health it has 2, kill it.ĩ. You will occasionally come across a floor with a billion mages/vampires/ranged things destroying you, save those knives, blue crystals, and ankhs for those floors and pray.Ĩ. Vampire + Reaper God + Certain Equipment = near immortal.ħ. but I wont divuge all my secrets, ill leave that one for yall to figure out with my hint. The vampire is the strongest charachter, ditch the adventurer when you find him, there is a combination with the vampire and certain equipment which makes the game infinately easier. (He only appears on floor 15+ it seems, so delve until ya get him)Ħ. No drawbacks, no penalties, and provides a relatively strong bonus. The god of death (reaper) is the best god, period. If you see a "new" god in a delve (one you have not unlocked) then betray your current god to unlock that statue.ĥ.

DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE of using the "Treasure God" he costs 300 coins, provides little to no benefit and will depete your gold used to level up the temple passives.Ĥ. The God of War is probably your best bet for longevity at first, he is the *best* starting delve god. really, dont even bother playing as her, she is fragile, has a horrible passive, and will just cause you frustration.ģ. It is directly related to which god you worship, you will always need the same pairings of runes for the tattoos of the same god.Ģ. You have to worship a god to use the "tatoo" shop.
